Server, grid, and universe-wide block restrictions to keep performance optimal for everyone.

🧱 Blocks
Buildable items in Space Engineers are called blocks. Every item built equals 1 block — whether it's a door, a thruster, or a reactor. Different blocks affect server performance differently.
⚡ PCU
PCU (Performance Cost Unit) measures the performance impact of blocks. Higher PCU = higher performance impact. UpsideDown applies limitations to players and grids based on PCU.
⚠️ Enforcement
Exceeding limits will result in warnings and/or blocks being disabled. We will not destroy, damage, or remove blocks except in extreme cases.
📊 Limit Types Explained
🌌 Universe Limit
This is an absolute hard limit. Regardless of other limits, you cannot go above this. This is the total count of a block type across all servers combined — per player account.
🖥️ Server Limit
The hard limit on a single server. You cannot exceed this for any single server. This is the total count of a block type on one server — per player account.
📦 Grid Limit
Grids may have multiple owners, so a grid limit is required. This limit applies to the grid AND subgrids. Connected grids via connectors/magnets are counted as separate grids.
Your grids may be sent to your Dockyard or deleted, depending on the situation, the player, and the staff member involved.
